Sunderland midfielder Yann M’Vila was in fine form this weekend as his side beat Chelsea.
A goal from Jermain Defoe saw his side complete a sensational turnaround against Chelsea and move them clear of the relegation zone.
It was the result that the Black Cats have been craving for several weeks, as they finally secured the points that their performances have warranted.
They now need to beat Everton in their game in hand in midweek to ensure their survival and relegate rivals Newcastle United.
Key to the win was midfielder Yann M’Vila, who was once again a rock in the heart of the midfield.
As the table provided by Opta shows, he was heavily involved throughout the game.
|Accurate Pass||Passing Accuracy||Won Tackle||Interception Won||Duel Won||Poss Won Def 3rd||Ball Recovery||Touches|
In total he posted 55 touches, the most of any player in his team, with all of those proving to be successful.
His passing was impressive as he managed 35 accurate passes in total, again the most of any Sunderland player, and enjoyed an overall pass success of 80%.
It was in defence where he truly shone though, posting a number of impressive defensive stats.
He managed three won tackles, three won interceptions and a total of four defensive duels won.
He also won possession in the midfielder third five times, another team high and coupled that with a huge 13 ball recoveries in another impressive display from the Frenchman.
