Plans will already be underway for next season in the transfer market, and there is one player at competitors Tottenham Hotspur who they should look at signing on a Bosman.
That is promising midfielder Tom Carroll, whose contract expires at the end of June.
Carroll, 23, is a former England under-21 international, and has played a bit part role for Spurs this season. He has featured in 18 Premier League games, four of which have been starts, also making four starts in the Europa League and three appearances from the bench.
He also made three FA Cup starts, including one in win away at Leicester City in January. The midfielder also has experience under his belt on loan at Swansea City and Queens Park Rangers.
Carroll is a midfielder whose qualities include his passing and willingness to get on the ball, and at Leicester he would be an ideal understudy to the outstanding Danny Drinkwater.
Leicester will be able to offer him the chance to play Champions League football, but also continue to learn in terms of his development.
The Foxes could need to strengthen in midfield if Ngolo Kante is snapped up, and adding Carroll will give them greater strength in depth, while hopefully bringing in a star who like Drinkwater has, can go on to become one of the league's best performers.
