The Owls are looking forward to the Championship play-offs.

Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal has told the club’s official website that his side they cannot change their philosophy against Wolves this weekend.

The Owls have already secured themselves a top six place this season and a place in the Championship play offs.

That marks an impressive achievement for them after a fine first campaign under the Portuguese manager’s leadership.

He has already admitted that there will be changes to the team against Wolves this weekend as they prepare for the play offs.

However, he insists what cannot change is the philosophy they have employed all years.

“We will take this game very seriously,” he told swfc.co.uk.

“We understand it’s a different game special to them because they will enjoy the game without too much nerves.”

“Wolves are a very organised team and we must take the game very seriously to win points and not change the philosophy that we have had since the beginning.”

Carvalhal’s side now head into the play offs looking to secure what would be an unexpected return to the Premier League.

Nobody would have anticipated them being in this situation at the beginning of the season and it is a credit to the style Carvalhal has brought in to the club.

That could play right into their hands, with the pressure arguably off them compared to the likes of Derby County who have spent big to try and return to the top flight.
