In recent weeks Everton have been playing young players in the league and it looks like this weekend could see some of their talented whiz-kids featuring again.
The likes of Kieran Dowell, Tom Davies, Matthew Pennington and Liam Walsh were all in training at Finch Farm this week – as was Courtney Duffus.
The 20-year-old striker is yet to play for Everton and has previously spent time on loan at Bury. The tall striker, who stands at 6ft 2ins, will be hoping to get his chance with the Everton first-team this weekend.
Martinez would be right to hand the youngster a chance v the Premier League champions at this point in time – to see what he has to offer going forward.
