Leeds United will take on Preston North End away from home in the Championship on Saturday.

Leeds United head coach Steve Evans has suggested to The Yorkshire Evening Post that he is not sure whether or not to start Bailey Peacock-Farrell against Preston North End.

The West Yorkshire outfit will take on Preston away from home at Deepdale in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Marco Silvestri is Leeds’s first-choice goalkeeper, and since he is fully fit, he is expected to start for the Whites.

Evans, though, has not completely ruled out playing Peacock-Farrell in goal instead. The 19-year-old has started once in the Championship for Leeds this season.

“When someone tells you how many supporters we’re taking, it’s an incredible amount,” the Leeds head coach told The Yorkshire Evening Post. “We have to make sure we’ve got a team out there that’s befitting of the heavy shirts.

“The answer is, not sitting on the fence, we’re undecided in the goalkeeping department. We’ve got nine of the team on paper picked. Marco is obviously the more experienced, significantly so. His performances, in the main, have been very good and we have to win the game.

“My view, as we sit here, is that he may just cope with that situation a little bit better. But if we’re sitting down to discuss it and the majority are saying Bailey then he’ll play.”

Leeds have no chance whatsoever to finish in the top 10 of the Championship this season, and it would make sense for Evans to include Peacock-Farrell in the starting lineup.

The youngster would get some valuable experience of playing for the first team in an away match in the Championship.

Preston are 11th in the league table at the moment, while Leeds are three points behind them in 12th.
