JPMorgan appoints new head of global markets execution

JPMorgan Chase

JPMorgan has named David Hudson to the new role of global head of markets execution as it seeks to adapt to changes in how clients trade stocks and bonds.

Bloomberg News reports that Hudson, currently chief financial officer of global markets, will report to investment bank head Daniel Pinto, JPMorgan said Thursday in a memo to staff. Hudson also will join the corporate investment bank’s management team.

“The evolution of the markets businesses continues to accelerate, driven by competition, regulation and advancements in technology,” Pinto wrote in the memo. “David will assess emerging trends, technologies, electronic platforms, and potential partnerships – inside and outside the bank – that could transform the way we, and our clients, do business.”
