Former Liverpool defender John Arne Riise reacted with delight as his former team reached the Europa League final.
The Norwegian commented on Twitter showing how passionate he still is about the Reds, and praised the Anfield fans as being the key contributor to the team's display.
Liverpool won 3-0 on the night, overturning a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, with goals coming from a Villarreal own goal, Daniel Sturridge, and Adam Lallana.

The Reds will face Sevilla in this year's Europa League semi-final, who beat Shakhtar Donetsk 5-3 on aggregate.
The La Liga side have won the Europa League for the last two seasons in a row, and will be a formidable opponent for the Reds.
The winner of the competition will qualify for next year's Champions League, and is Liverpool's only route left into the competition.
