Jim Beglin suggests James Milner’s summer decision has been vindicated

James Milner left Manchester City for Premier League rivals Liverpool in the summer of 2015.

Jim Beglin has suggested on social networking site Twitter that James Milner has been proven correct in his decision to leave Manchester City for Liverpool in the summer of 2015.

Milner left City in the summer of 2015 and joined Premier League rivals Liverpool on a free transfer.

Many would have thought that the move was a step-down for the England international midfielder, but Beglin believes that he made a good decision.

The former Liverpool and Leeds United defender made the comment following Jurgen Klopp’s side’s progress to the final of the Europa League final on Thursday evening.

Meanwhile, City failed to get the better of Spanish giants Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Milner has scored five goals and created 59 chances in 27 Premier League matches for Liverpool this season.

The former Aston Villa midfielder has a pass accuracy of 77% and a shot accuracy of 46%, and has won 27 headers, 19 dribbles and 52 tackles.

The former Leeds and Newcastle United man has scored two goals and created 30 chances in 11 Europa League matches for Liverpool this campaign.
