Sean Dyche shares details of hour-long conversation with Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham Hotspur are set to meet Burnley in the Premier League again next season.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has told the Football League Paper that he had an hour long conversation with Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino last year.

Burnley held Spurs to a replay in last season’s FA Cup, and he was highly impressed by the job Dyche had done at Turf Moor.

The Argentine manager then sat down for a lengthy conversation with Dyche, and the Burnley boss was very impressed.

“It’s funny because the supposition in this country is that we need to learn things from the foreign guys,” Dyche said. “But he actually wanted to know all about what we did. I thought the interest he showed was brilliant.”

Pochettino and Dyche have been two of the best managers in England this season, with both achieving great success.

Pochettino has transformed Tottenham into Premier League title contenders, and he looks set to guide them to a second placed finish.

Dyche, meanwhile, has led Burnley to promotion from the Championship this term.

The Clarets were relegated last season, but they have bounced back immediately from that disappointment to make a swift return to the top tier.

Burnley can even secure the Championship title at the weekend, if they are able to beat Charlton Athletic.
