Leeds United prospect has signed a new contract.
Talented teenager Ronaldo Vieira has expressed his delight at signing a new contract at Leeds United.
The 17-year-old has signed a two-year deal, reward for excellent progress this season as a scholar, making the jump from under-18 to under-21 level.
He sent a message out to supporters on Instagram showing just how excited he was to sign.
He wrote: "Buzzing to have sign my first Professional contract for Leeds United today would like to thank all the staff and team mates that has worked with me throughout my life so far and my family and friends also a special thank you to I2I staff for making it happen looking forward to the next 2 years!!"
Vieira signed last summer as a scholar after impressing following a trial. He had previously been playing with the i2i Academy.
In a recent match for the under-21s against Crystal Palace he was Leeds' biggest dangerman, and is likely to get first team opportunities in pre-season.
Vieira told the club's website when asked about his favoured position: "I’m like a sitting midfielder but when I get the chance to go forward, I like to get forward."
He is one of a number of talented young players at the club, and will hope to follow Lewis Cook, Charlie Taylor, Alex Mowatt, Lewie Coyle and Bailey Peacock-Farrell from the under-21s into the first team.
