Controversial Leeds defender could leave.

Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci's time at the club could be coming to an end this summer.

The centre-back has had a mixed time at the Whites since joining two summers ago, undoing his better performances with game costing errors in his bad ones.

Now he has emerged as a transfer target for Italian club Ascoli.

Tuttomercatoweb report, via Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, that Bellusci is a transfer target for the Serie B side, while soon to be free agent Mirco Antenucci is also on their radar.

Ascoli took another Italian Leeds star on loan earlier this season, midfielder Tommasso Bianchi.

Bellusci is one of three centre-backs jostling for positions at Leeds, along with Sol Bamba and Liam Cooper.

Club owner Massimo Cellino rates him highly, with Gianluca di Marzio reporting in January that he did not want to sell him for anything less than four million Euros, amid interest from Hellas Verona.
