The Belgian international is currently on loan at Galatasaray.
Manchester City exited the Champions League at the semi-final stage last night and once again Belgian defender Vincent Kompany limped out of the game with an injury.
The defence at City has been under serious scrutiny in recent weeks with Kompany’s injury woes and the performances of Eliaquim Mangala, Martin Demichelis and Nicolas Otamendi not exactly filling City fans with confidence.
Of course there is another Belgian defender currently signed on at the club. Jason Denayer is currently out on loan at Galatasaray and spent an impressive term with Celtic last term.
Now it is being reported that the City youngster will receive his chances under Pep Guardiola when he takes over at City.
It is reported by Aktif Media that City have informed Galatasaray of their intention to bring Denayer back to the club next season to be a part of the City first-team.
Denayer, who joined Manchester City in 2013 from the JMG Academy, has impressed out on loan and made his debut for the Belgian national team last year – currently holding four caps for his nation.
City fans will no doubt be hoping that the 20-year-old can be a top player for the club from next season.
