The agent of Newcastle United striker Seydou Doumbia has responded to suggestions he is a transfer target for Leicester City.
Doumbia is on loan at Newcastle from Roma, having been at CSKA Moscow earlier in the season, also on loan.
His agent insists there has been no contact from newly crowned champions Leicester City, and he hopes for clarification from Roma on his future shortly.
Jean-Bernard Beytrison told LaRoma2.net, report Tuttomercatoweb: "I still have not been contacted by the club [Leicester]."
He added: "We will take stock of the situation to figure out what we want to do. I will speak more when we are close to signing a new contract. We are yet to meet with the leaders of the Roma, we will talk at the end of the season."
Doumbia has made just three substitute appearances for Newcastle, falling out of favour under Rafa Benitez.
The Ivorian would benefit from a full pre-season at whichever club he plays for next to get his fitness up; and he can be a big contributor when at his best, as shown by his goals in the Champions League for CSKA earlier this season.
