Celtic defender Kieran Tierney has said that the toughest opponent he has come up against during his professional career so far is Nani.
Tierney was participating in a question and answer session on social media site Twitter for New Balance, ahead of Celtic’s kit launch.
A range a questions were asked for the youngster, with Celtic fans eager to learn which attacker has been the most difficult to deal with.
Tierney has looked comfortable at both European and domestic level, but the 18-year-old admits that keeping tabs on Nani was difficult.
Tierney came up against Nani back in October, when Celtic took on Fenerbahce in the Europa League.
The Bhoys drew 2-2 with the Turkish giants, in what was a frustrating night for Ronny Deila’s side.
Tierney was also asked to reveal who his Celtic idols were, and whether he would actually tackle his own Grandmother.
Tierney has made 31 appearances for Celtic this season, and he has enjoyed a wonderful breakthrough year.
