James Collins goes nutmeg crazy as West Ham defender issues warning to teammates

West Ham Defence v Chelsea

James Collins is warning his West Ham United teammates to keep their legs closed in training for the rest of the season.

The Ginger Pele, as he is affectionately known to Hammers fans, has been one of the club's best players during their best ever Premier League season.

The Welsh warrior started the season as fourth choice centre back but showed just how much he has to offer when injuries gave him a first team chance.

Collins has been so crucial to Slaven Bilic's side that when he was injured over a month ago the East Londoners struggled to win with a series of draws costing them crucial points in the Champions League race.

But he is back now for the run-in, and don't his West Ham teammates know it.

The Ginger... Ronaldinho?

That's because he has suddenly turned into Ronaldinho on the club's Chadwell Heath training ground by nutmegging his teammates.

The big defender has got on loan Barcelona star Alex Song, left-back Aaron Cresswell and right-back Sam Byram.

And Collins, who will go to Euro 2016 with Wales this summer, could not resist posting videos of his nutmegs on social media for the world to see.

In a series of video posts on Instagram, he apologises to his various victims with the ominous warning that he is 'trying to get everyone by the end of the season' after his latest skill on Byram.

Megs 11

After embarrassing ex-Arsenal man Song, Collins wrote: "Sorry Alex had to put it up mate #megs."

Cresswell was his next victim, with the fans' favourite left-back having that knowing look after the nutmeg that the video would ifind its way onto the web. Collins said: "Sorry Aaron, had to do it #megs."

And his latest victim Byram saw Collins warn his teammates to keep their legs closed. "Sorry Sam trying to meg everyone by the end of the season," he added.

What the videos do show is the great camaraderie and team spirit that exists at West Ham under Bilic, particularly given Collins has had to wait for a chance to get back into the team since his return from injury.
