Andy Carroll shares his end of season target at West Ham

The West Ham United striker is enjoying a run of form and fitness.

West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has told the club’s official website he is targeting double figures before the end of the season.

The Hammers forward has endured another frustrating year as injuries have once again limited his game time.

He has been back at full fitness in recent months though, and played his part with several impressive displays.

Indeed, there is already talk about a potential call up to England’s squad for Euro 2016 this summer.

He though is just hoping he can get himself into double figures before the end of the campaign.

“I am scoring goals and creating chances which is always nice and we are getting some great results,” he told whufc.com.

“I would love to stay among the goals and hopefully get into double figures before the end of the season – especially with the year I have had.”

West Ham will certainly need Carroll among the goals as they hunt down a potential top four place.

They are currently sixth in the table and chasing down Manchester City, who are five points ahead at present.

Crucially though, West Ham have a game in hand against Manchester United, who are also looking to finish fourth as they fifth in the table.

The Hammers will need to beat United to give themselves a chance, and will hoping Carroll can add to his tally to ensure they do just that.
