Tottenham legend Clive Allen has his say on Chelsea.
Chelsea's players lived up to their promise that they would stop Tottenham winning the league, by holding them to a 2-2 draw on Monday night.
Chelsea's players were more up for this game than pretty much any they have been this season, with a potential exception being their two wins over Arsenal.
Former Tottenham striker Clive Allen, who played 105 games for the club, and 16 for Chelsea during a short spell, commented on Twitter last night, expressing his bemusement at how the Blues were able to lift their game after being so average this past season, currently sitting in ninth place; 22 points behind Spurs.
Former champions who put in a performance to stop a rival where have they been all season ???— Clive Allen (@Clive_Allen9) May 4, 2016
Allen's comment was praised by another ex-Spurs striker, former Egyptian international Mido, who backed his query.
Tottenham have a chance to finish the season as the top side in London, three points ahead of third placed Arsenal with two games left to play.
