The German stopper has been heavily linked with a move away from the Nou Camp this summer after growing disillusioned over a lack of game time.
He has had to content himself with appearances in just the Champions League and domestic cup competitions, as Claudio Bravo has continued be Luis Enrique’s number one.
His unhappiness has been made known to the club’s hierarchy, with his agents having discussed the issue with Barca chiefs Robert Fernandez and Albert Soler.
The club though, are not willing to allow him to leave at any point, as they consider him their number one for the future.
That did not stop clubs testing that resolve though, and according to Sport one Premier League side saw a bid of €20million, around £15.7million, rejected outright.
What that was is not known, although both Liverpool and Manchester City hae been credited with an interest in recent months.
A move to either now looks unlikely though, with the report claiming the player has now accepted his future lies in Spain and has told his representatives he will stay and fight for his place.
