Liverpool host Villarreal at Anfield on Thursday evening in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final tie.
They will need to create another magical night at home as they trail 1-0 in the tie following a late goal in Spain last week.
The Reds are confident of doing so having enjoyed fine games at home already in the competition with wins over Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund in the last two rounds.
And Mignolet says the Anfield crowd does make it easier for them, but they must focus on their jobs nonetheless.
“We know when the fans are behind us, it's so much easier," he told Liverpoolfc.com. "At home there's always something possible, a European night at Anfield. We showed it against Manchester United and Dortmund this year, and over the years there have been so many great fixtures in Europe at Anfield.
"We're obviously confident that it's still possible but we have to stay calm and as players focus on our jobs, to play at our best to try and get through.”
At just 1-0, there is no denying that the game is far from over and Liverpool can be confident of getting through to the Europa League final.
They cannot afford to underestimate their opponents though, with Marcelino’s side in the top four of La Liga and having beaten Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid this season.
Key to the Reds hopes will surely be Daniel Sturridge and whether he starts, with questions over his role in the side still lingering from the first leg.
