Report suggests Burnley will return for Nottingham Forest's Henri Lansbury and Tottenham Hotspur's Alex Pritchard this summer

The Forest and Spurs stars have both been targets for Burnley recently.

Burnley secured promotion back to the Premier League on Monday as the Clarets consistently good performances over the campaign paid off under manager Sean Dyche.

Now the attention must switch to sustaining a place in the Premier League long-term and The Sun is suggesting today that Burnley boss Dyche will be going back in for two former transfer targets in Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury and Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Alex Pritchard this summer

As reported by the BBC in the summer Burnley made several attempts to sign Forest captain Lansbury in the summer, with the fee mentioned extending as high as £4 million.

In January it was reported that Burnley were on the brink of signing talented midfielder Pritchard on loan from Spurs – after his recovery from a serious injury.

However, as reported by the Lancashire Telegraph at the time, West Brom swooped in and snatched him out from under their nose.

Now that Burnley have been promoted there is no doubt they will have more of a chance in any pursuit of the Forest and Spurs pair this summer.

As for both players, it would certainly be a good move.

Forest appear to be on the road to nowhere at the moment and Lansbury deserves a punt at Premier League football.

Pritchard meanwhile has struggled on loan at West Brom and should be playing regular football when fully fit.

A move to Burnley might be perfect for both.
