Newcastle are set to travel to Aston Villa on Saturday, while Sunderland have a match against Chelsea.
Newcastle are currently one point ahead of Sunderland in the Premier League table, and Parlour believes that they have momentum on their side.
“You fancy Newcastle all day long,” the former Arsenal midfielder said.
“The atmosphere at Villa Park is very difficult for Villa’s players. Rafael Benitez has got his players playing now. I expect Newcastle to get all three points.”
Villa have only won three matches all season, and they currently sit rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.
It is, therefore, expected that Newcastle will pick up the three points to put pressure on their relegation rivals.
Sunderland’s fixture against Chelsea looks like a very tough test, but Parlour believes that they can come through it.
“Sunderland, being at home, they could beat Chelsea,” he added. “Chelsea could be on the beach now.”
Sunderland have lost just two of their last 11 matches, so they go into the match with confidence.
The Black Cats also hold an advantage over Newcastle, as they have a game in hand.
