Former Wolves prospect Mekhi McLeod is among the young players being released by Rangers.
Rangers have announced they are to release eight under-20 players, including recent signing Mekhi McLeod.
McLeod signed in January after impressing on trial. Rangers had come to an agreement to sign McLeod from Wolves early, with his contract at Molineux set to expire this June.
A former Fulham youth player, McLeod was a regular for Wolves' under-21 side before his switch. He turns 20 in September and will want to find a club where he gets the opportunity to play first team football.
Rangers announced via their official club website that McLeod is one of the players who will leave the club, along with Dylan Dykes, Luca Gasparotto, David Brownlie, Darren Ramsay, Jamie Brandon, Tom Lang and Jamie Mills.
Craig Mulholland, head of academy, said: "It is always a difficult time of year when informing players that they will no longer be at the club.
“Some of the lads such as Dylan, Darren and the two Jamie’s have been with the club from a very young age and it is an emotional time for the staff and the players. We wish all the boys well in their future careers."
Rangers recently clinched promotion back to the Premiership, which has raised the bar required to make the first team, with further investment needed this summer to enable the club to challenge for the title as they desire.
