The Foxes are set to bring in reinforcements ahead of a Champions League campaign.
Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri looks like he might be looking to his homeland to bring in a new player for the recently crowned Premier League champions – after reports in Italy suggested he was in the race for Juventus striker Simone Zaza.
It is reported by Sport Mediaset, as relayed by Football Italia, that Leicester are very interested in the striker – who has struggled for regular playing time with the club since joining from Sassuolo in the summer.
Zaza, who has been linked with a host of other Premier League clubs in the past, has played 23 times this season and scored eight goals – but the majority of those appearances have come from the bench, including against Carpi in a 2-0 win at the weekend.
Leicester currently have good striking options with the likes of Jamie Vardy, Shinji Okazaki and Leonardo Ulloa but will need to add some depth to their attack if they are to succeed in both the Premier League and the Champions League next season.
Zaza would be a magnificent signing and for the player himself it would be a great opportunity to play more regular football in a league that suits his playing style.
