Francesco Totti, recently linked with Leicester City move, has a message for Claudio Ranieri

The Roma legend is set to leave the club this summer.

Leicester City’s fantastic achievement of winning the Premier League was confirmed on Monday night as Tottenham Hotspur failed to get the win they needed against Chelsea to stay in the hunt.

The club’s achievements under the management of Italian Claudio Ranieri cannot go unnoticed and the one time ‘Tinkerman’ is deserving of all the accolades he is currently getting.

Including from Italian legend Francesco Totti.

The AS Roma star has sent this message to Ranieri, a former boss of his at Roma, on his official website:

“Congratulations boss.

“You’ve really been great, you deserve all of this satisfaction!”

Ranieri is from Rome and himself is a Giallorossi fan so this will be warmly received by the popular and likeable Foxes manager.

Of course Leicester have even been linked with signing Totti from his beloved Roma.

In April it was reported by Sky Sports News that Leicester wanted to bring in the Italian veteran in the summer on a free transfer – as Totti prepared to depart Roma after 24 years.

However, the same report claimed that Totti looked likely to head to the New York Cosmos instead and Ranieri himself even made it clear that Leicester were not in the hunt for Totti, as reported by ESPN.
