44-year-old Championship boss responds to questions over his future, after Aston Villa links

Aston Villa reportedly would like to appoint Burnley boss Sean Dyche as their next manager.

Sean Dyche has remained coy when asked about his future as Burnley manager by The Sun.

Dyche is said to be on Aston Villa’s managerial shortlist by the Daily Mirror, as the Midlands club search for a new boss to help them back from the relegation.

Villa have had an awful season this term, and they have won just three Premier League matches.

The Claret and Blues are expected to make a number of changes over the coming months, and it is believed that they want a manager with experience to take charge.

Dyche has led Burnley to promotion from the Championship this season, and his success is reported to have caught the eye of Villa.

A move to Villa seems unlikely, with Burnley now preparing for life back in the Premier League. But Dyche did not categorically rule out a move to the Villains, when quizzed on his future.

“It’s for another time, it’s not for now,” he said, when quizzed on the speculation about the future.

Burnley can win the Championship title if they are able to beat Charlton Athletic at the weekend.
