Jack Hunt reacts on Twitter to Burnley promotion, praises midfielder

The Sheffield Wednesday defender is pleased for Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield for getting promoted from the Championship to the Premier League.

Sheffield Wednesday defender Jack Hunt has taken to social networking site Twitter to congratulate Burnley on getting promoted to the Premier League.

Burnley got the better of Queens Park Rangers 1-0 at Turf Moor on Monday evening to confirm their place in the top two of the Championship.

The Clarets got relegated from the Premier League only at the end of last season, and it is a great achievement of Sean Dyche’s side to return to the English top flight straightaway.

Hunt has congratulated the Clarets on their feat, and has also expressed his happiness for Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield.

Hunt has created 24 chances in 33 Championship appearances for Wednesday so far this season.

The former Huddersfield Town and Crystal Palace man has a pass accuracy of 68% and a shot accuracy of 43%, and has won 25 headers, 43 dribbles and 56 tackles.

Arfield has scored eight goals and created 44 chances in 45 Championship matches for Burnley this season.

The 27-year-old Canada international midfielder has a pass accuracy of 75% and a shot accuracy of 40%, and has won 28 headers, 25 dribbles and 44 tackles.

Wednesday still have a chance of playing Premier League football next season, as they have booked their place in the Championship playoffs. Hunt and Arfield were teammates at Huddersfield from 2010 to 2013.
