Arsenal legend Ian Wright predicted on the BBC Radio 5 live 606 show on Sunday evening (May 1) that West Ham United will finish fourth in the Premier League this season.
The former Arsenal striker believes that Manchester City and Manchester United will end up fifth and sixth respectively in the standings.
“I think West Ham are going to have a flurry at the end,” said Wright after his top-six list was read out. “They are leaving Upton Park. They have got some good games now.”
West Ham are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 59 points from 35 matches.
The London outfit are just five points behind City, who are currently fourth in the standings and occupy the final Champions League spot.
Slaven Bilic’s side, though, have a game in hand, and fans should be optimistic about a top-four finish.
West Ham should be able to win against Swansea City and Stoke City, but they will find it tough against United.
City have to play against Arsenal and Swansea in their final two matches. While winning against the Swans should be easy enough, picking up all three points against the Gunners will be tough.
