Anthony Knockaert reacts on Twitter to Leicester City winning the Premier League title

King Power Stadium - Stormy

Leicester City have managed to pull off the biggest shock in Premier League history.

Anthony Knockaert has expressed his delight for Leicester City on Twitter, after they were confirmed as champions of the Premier League last night.

Leicester were being chased by Tottenham Hotspur, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s failure to beat Chelsea ensured that Leicester would finish at the top of the pile.

Tottenham could only manage a 2-2 draw with Chelsea, and Leicester are now seven points clear of any other side in England’s top flight with only two games remaining.

Leicester’s triumph is the biggest surprise in Premier League history. Claudio Ranieri’s side started the season as 5000/1 outsiders, but they have surpassed all expectations.

Their title success caused a huge amount of observers to congratulate them on social media last night, and Knockaert was one of the well wishers.

Knockaert played for Leicester between 2012 and 2015, and he played a key role in helping the Midlands side win the Championship back in 2013/14.

Knockaert is now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion, and he could return to the King Power Stadium next season, if Chris Hughton’s side are promoted.
