Mauricio Pochettino’s side needed to win against the Blues in order to maintain their chances of winning the title this campaign.
Spurs were 2-0 ahead at half time, but the North London outfit conceded twice in the second period to play out a 2-2 draw.
QPR vice-chairman Bhatia was following the match, and he was delighted with Leicester’s title success and hopes to emulate them in the future. The Rangers co-owner has also explained what he meant by “come on Chelsea”.
Watching in the airport in Dubai and can't believe I'm saying this, but just for once, come on Chelsea!— Amit Bhatia (@Amit_Bhatia99) May 2, 2016
How proud the Leicester city owners and fans must be. This is what dreams are made of! Gives the rest of us hope. Thrilled for the foxes.— Amit Bhatia (@Amit_Bhatia99) May 2, 2016
Let's be clear here, I never have nor EVER would cheer a Chelsea goal. But I'm absolutely thrilled for Leicester, and that's all I meant....— Amit Bhatia (@Amit_Bhatia99) May 2, 2016
QPR got relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season and have failed to finish in the top six of the Championship this campaign. The London outfit, though, will be expected to push for the playoffs next season.
