Newcastle United, Leicester City, Swansea City, West Ham United, Southampton, Sunderland and Manchester United players get recognition.
Darlow is the third-choice goalkeeper at Newcastle behind Tim Krul and Rob Elliot, but the former Nottingham Forest custodian is playing first-team football at the moment due to injuries to the duo.
The 25-year-old played a key role in the Magpies’ narrow 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at St. James’ Park at the weekend.
The Englishman kept out a Yohan Cabaye penalty to help Rafael Benitez’s side pick up all three points from the Premier League match.
Redknapp has included Darlow in his Premier League Team of the Week and has spoken highly of him.
“It was a fantastic moment for Karl Darlow to save that penalty from Yohan Cabaye, of all people,” the Englishman wrote in The Telegraph.
“To go from third choice goalkeeper to the thick of a relegation fight is so difficult but he handled the pressure when it mattered most and made a couple of other big saves and that was a huge win for Newcastle.
“I don’t care who you are as a manager, you don’t sleep easy on Friday night if you’re suddenly relying on an inexperienced youngster in goal. You’ll talk to your goalkeeping coach and he’ll say give you some reassurance but you’re just hoping and praying the lad can deliver.”
Redknapp has also included Newcastle’s Vurnon Anita, Jamaal Lascelles and Andros Townsend in his Premier League Team of the Week for The Telegraph.
Leicester City duo Wes Morgan and Christian Fuchs, Swansea City’s Jack Cork, West Ham midfielder Mark Noble, Sadio Mane of Southampton, Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe and Manchester United’s Anthony Martial also find themselves in Redknapp’s team.
