The Baggies are ending the season in dire form, and Cheikhou Kouyate got the ball rolling for West Ham with a fine back post header, and Mark Noble then scored either side of half-time to wrap up a 3-0 win for Slaven Bilic's Hammers.
On another dismal day for West Brom fans, there wasn't a great deal to shout about, but the performance of teenager Jonathan Leko was the one bright spark.
Leko, 17, was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but moved to England at the age of just eight, and has come up through the ranks with West Brom - an eerily similar story to Baggies team-mate Saido Berahino, who moved from Burundi as a child.
The pacey forward, who has been impressing with the club's youth setup whilst earning England youth caps, was handed his first Premier League start against West Ham, playing out on the right hand side for Tony Pulis' men.
Leko flashed real ability on the ball, terrorising the West Ham defence in a superb spell during the first half, and he even played the full 90 minutes.
After the final whistle, West Brom fans took to Twitter to praise Leko, tipping him as a star of the future after such an impressive performance, and hope to see more of him before the end of the season.
Here are some of the reactions from West Brom fans after Leko's display against West Ham...
Have to admit I was well impressed with Leko yesterday. Looks like he's got bags of talent, definitely one for the future #WBA— Sam (@shodgson_) May 1, 2016
What I liked about Leko was he ran Cresswell every time he got the ball, faded in the second half but was an impressive debut #Wba— Alex Fellows (@AlexFellows4690) April 30, 2016
Was rather impressed with Leko today, another true talent. Would be nice to see what Tyler Roberts has got now #wba— P For Prattstaah. (@Prattstaah95) April 30, 2016
Another disappointing day but Leko certainly a silver lining. Quick, fearless, skilful and bags of potential. Big future ahead #WBA— Sam Ross (@Sam_wbafc) April 30, 2016
Positive today out of everything is Leko getting his start. Played well from what I saw, hope he plays from now to the end of season #wba— Kieran Rondon (@kieranthebaggie) April 30, 2016
Massive positive today was young Leko. Always looking to make things happen, needs more game time to learn though #wba— Ricci Dunn (@B_H_Baggie) April 30, 2016
