West Ham continued their push for a top four spot with a superb 3-0 win over the Baggies.
The result comes as somewhat of a surprise considering Tony Pulis’ sides are normally so well drilled and recently held Tottenham Hotspur to a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane.
However, Bilic undoubtedly got the better of his counterpart on the day, but he was in no mood to gloat as he told reporters after the match of his great admiration for the former Stoke City manager.
"He's brilliant, so basically I don't like him I love him. There's no option but to love him. We always have a great chat talking about different players and different things. I rate him extremely,” Bilic told the Birmingham Mail.
While Bilic remains a big fan of the Welshman, there is a growing split among the West Brom fans for their boss as questions will always be raised over the entertainment of his style of play.
Pulis is one of the very best when it comes to guaranteeing survival via effective football, yet such a style no doubt has its limits and it would be hard to envisage a Pulis side ever challenging for Europe.
Financially he is a chairman’s dream at a club the size of West Brom, yet the Baggies support may soon grow tired of mid-table finishes from a side that displays little flair and technical brilliance.
