The striker has been out of action since February with a knee problem.
Rangers took on rivals St Mirren in Paisley but did not end their season with a win – drawing 2-2.
Kenny Miller and Jason Holt looked to have won Rangers the game after Callum Gallagher’s goal in the 40th minute but a last minute strike from Lewis Morgan saw the points shared.
Rangers fans were however pleased to see that their star striker was back in the starting line-up.
Martyn Waghorn returned to action for Rangers after a spell out with a knee injury.
Signed from Wigan in the summer he has scored an impressive 28 goals this season but has been out of action since February.
This was his first game back in the starting XI since then, and he played 60 minutes for the Ibrox side.
Waghorn, for a player who has been injured for so long, looked sharp and was certainly exciting for Rangers fans.
Now they will hope he can find goals and full fitness ahead of the Scottish Cup final against Hibernian on the 21st as Rangers are without a win in their last four games since knocking Celtic out of the Scottish Cup semi-finals.
Here is how the Rangers fans reacted to the return of their top scorer…
