Manchester United boss made a surprising comparison when talking about a Marouane Fellaini challenge.
Jamie Carragher insists Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is winning him over, after being amused by his bizarre comments in a post match interview.
The ex-Liverpool defender was referring to an interview after the Manchester United versus Leicester City game, in which the Red Devils boss was quizzed about Marouane Fellaini's apparent elbow on German defender Robert Huth.
Van Gaal insisted Fellaini was provoked, and made a bizarre comparison.
Speaking to SkySports directly after the game, Louis van Gaal said: "When you see what Huth is doing to Fellaini, that's a penalty. Shall I grab you by your hair? What is your reaction when I grab your hair?
"Your hair is shorter than Fellaini but when I do that, what are you doing then? It's a reaction.
"Every human being who is grabbed by the hair, only with sex, then it is allowed but not in other situations. They did it. They did it several times I think.
"Huth was the guy who grabbed the hair of Fellaini. I think the reaction of Fellaini is like a human being. He is always like that."
Carragher reacted on Twitter to Van Gaal's comments...
After today's post match interview LVG is my manager of the year not Ranieri. #sexmasochism— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) May 1, 2016
In amusement stakes Van Gaal has had his moments since being appointed at United two summers ago, also notably throwing himself to the floor in a row with the fourth official about diving in a match with Arsenal a couple of months back.
Yet many of his match selection and even transfer decisions have left Manchester United fans anything but amused, especially with several of the club's results this season.
