Game of Thrones season six episode two: What to expect and what we want to see

Game Of Thrones Season 6 Poster

The second episode of Game of Thrones' latest season airs this week.

This article contains spoilers and potential spoilers for Game of Thrones season six.

This week sees the second episode of season six of Game of Thrones, and fans will be desperate for some answers after the premiere threw even more questions into the mix.

It has already been announced that episode two is entitled Home, so what will fans want to see in the latest episode, and what can they actually expect?

Well, we already know that Bran Stark will get his first outing since season four; and inevitable growth spurt aside, we should see exactly what he has been learning from the Three-Eyed Raven (a perfectly cast Max von Sydow).

Another forgotten character also returns in the form of Balon Greyjoy, suggesting that the Iron Islands plot thread from the later books will be encompassed into this season.

There will also be the first stages of the Lannister’s return to power, with Jaime counselling the beleaguered King Tommen as he and his sister attempt to regain their former glory.

But what do we want to see?

First and foremost we will be hoping for some explanation regarding Melisandre’s true identity – and age – after the shock revelation that concluded the previous episode.

The thing with Game of Thrones, however, is that they have a habit of teasing things out, waiting at least a few episodes before solving one riddle or another.

For those waiting to find out more about Melisandre, expect to be frustrated for a while longer.

Then there is Jon Snow who, let’s face it, is going to spend at least a few more episodes lying dead on a table.

He will surely return in time, but the show-runners are not going to rush to a conclusion on this one.

We could however get to see some telling flashbacks, with Bran’s training potentially seeing a return of some former favourites along with a few previously unseen characters.
