DeAndre Yedlin sends message to Sunderland fans on Twitter

Sunderland failed to win against Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Sunderland defender DeAndre Yedlin has taken to social networking site Twitter to thank the fans for their support against Stoke City.

The Black Cats played out a 1-1 draw with Stoke away from home at the Britannia Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Marko Arnautovic put the Potters in the lead five minutes into the second half, and Jermain Defoe equalised for the visiting team in the fourth minute of injury time from the penalty spot.

Yedlin, who joined Sunderland on a season-long loan deal from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2015, has taken to Twitter to thank the fans for their support.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday afternoon, visitors Sunderland had 47% of the possession, took 14 shots of which five were on target, and won eight corners.

Sam Allardyce’s side are third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 32 points from 35 matches, just a point behind 17th-placed Newcastle United with a game in hand.
