Stoke City host Sunderland this weekend.
Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has suggested on Twitter that his side have every chance of claiming a positive result at Stoke City of they perform how they did in the 3-0 win at Norwich City.
Sunderland go in to the game occupying 17th position in the table, ahead of Norwich City on goal difference following the point they picked up at home to Arsenal last weekend.
The Wearside club have given themselves a decent chance of staying up, and Allardyce feels a repeat performance of their last away day could see them take another step closer to safety.
Big game for us at The Britannia tomorrow! If we perform like we did in our last away game then we have every chance. #HawayTheLads— Sam Allardyce (@OfficialBigSam) April 29, 2016
Stoke are always a tough nut to crack, yet Sunderland may be playing them at the best possible time as the Potters have little to play for and head into the match having conceded 12 in their last three games.
Sam Allardyce has undoubtedly improved his side over the course of the campaign, and they head to the Midlands having lost only two of their last ten matches, conceding just ten goals.
With Newcastle hosting Crystal Palace, Sunderland know anything but a win could see them back in the bottom three come Sunday though they they still have a game in hand over their North East rivals.
