Leicester City are closing in on the Premier League title.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri went out of his way to congratulate Claudio Ranieri and Leicester City as the Midlands club close in on a spectacular Premier League title triumph, Tuttomercatoweb report.

The Foxes can wrap up the title if they beat Manchester United at Old Trafford this weekend, or failing that if they can match Tottenham Hotspur’s result from their encounter with Chelsea on Monday.

It has been a truly remarkable season for Leicester, starting the season as 5000-1 favourites to win the title.

Talking to reporters before Juve’s encounter this weekend, Allegri made special mention of Ranieri’s success and suggests the former Chelsea boss is proof that Italians can make good coaches.

“I congratulate Ranieri and wish him look because he deserves it. I think Leicester have done something incredible. It is proof that Italians can make good coaches,” Allegri told Tuttomercatoweb.

Leicester, should they fail to win the title this weekend, will have two more opportunities to complete the dream when they face Everton (H) next weekend and finish the season with a trip to Chelsea.

The Foxes have most Premier League observers backing them in their quest, as a title win for the East Midlands club would give hope to so many others up and down the country.

With Champions League football assured for next season, it could be possible for Leicester to play the likes of Juventus on the biggest stage with Allegri guiding the Old Lady to their fifth successive Serie A success.
