Jurgen Klopp wanted to sign him for Borussia Dortmund in 2014.
German youngster Serge Gnabry has not had a good time of it recently.
The Arsenal talent spent the first half of this season on loan at West Bromwich Albion in what was an ill-fated spell – in which he played just three times and became cast aside by Tony Pulis.
In the previous season Gnabry did not play a single game for Arsenal, after suffering a serious knee injury.
So perhaps the German needs a change. His contract at Arsenal currently runs until 2017 but it seems the 20-year-old has a very uphill battle if he is to make it at The Emirates.
Could Liverpool be an option?
Back in January 2014 it was heavily reported, including by the Daily Mail, that then Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp had placed Gnabry on his wishlist for the summer as he looked to improve his squad.
Gnabry has had a tough time since then but surely Klopp will not have forgotten his talent.
It could simply be that the youngster needs a change of scenery and with the management of Klopp spurring him on then Gnabry could develop into a star at Liverpool.
