Tottenham are battling Everton, Manchester United and Southampton for the signature of Real Madrid ace Pedro Ruiz.

According to a report from The Independent, Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to make their move for Real Madrid ace Pedro Ruiz in the next month.

Spurs have earned a reputation for developing young talent under Mauricio Pochettino, with players around the world no doubt aware of how Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier have grown at White Hart Lane.

That could play right into their hands ahead of the summer transfer window, as Pochettino appears to be keen on adding more young talent to his squad in the form of Real Madrid wonderkid Pedro Ruiz.

The Independent report that Tottenham are ramping up their interest in Ruiz this summer, who has caught the eye in the youth ranks with Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants are hardly renowned for promoting young players into their first team, and whilst it's claimed that they are prepared to offer Ruiz a lucrative contract to tempt him into staying, he is believed to be interesting a host of English clubs.

It's claimed that Everton, Manchester United and Southampton are all considering moves for Ruiz, with Tottenham ready to make their move for the 16-year-old talent in the next month.

A powerful striker with Spanish Under-16 caps, Ruiz appears to have a bright future ahead of him - but having seen so many players be denied first-team football at Real Madrid, he may fancy his chances elsewhere this summer.
