Liverpool are reportedly pushing for Koln goalkeeper Timo Horn.

According to a report from The Sun, Liverpool scout Dave Fallows has made a final check on Koln goalkeeper Timo Horn ahead of a summer move.

The Reds are expected to make plenty of moves during the summer transfer window despite having a strong run of results under Jurgen Klopp of late.

Fans are looking for some big names, and one position that could be targeted is goalkeeper, given how strongly first-choice stopper Simon Mignolet has been criticised since his 2013 switch from Sunderland.

Now, The Sun report that the Reds and manager Klopp are very keen on Koln goalkeeper Timo Horn, with a summer move seemingly on the cards.

Horn, 22, was born and bred in Cologne and joined his hometown club way back in 2002, coming up through the ranks with the club to become their first-choice goalkeeper.

With more than 100 first-team appearances for Koln and over 30 caps for Germany at youth level, Horn is touted as one of the top goalkeepers in German football, alongside the likes of Manuel Neuer, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Bernd Leno.

Now, it's claimed that Liverpool scout Dave Fallows attended Koln's trip to Augsburg on Friday evening to watch Horn in action, with Klopp keen to secure his signature.

It's suggested that a deal worth £7m could be enough to snap up Horn, and these reports will again bring Mignolet's future into question this summer.
