Michael Owen predicts Manchester United and Manchester City games

Manchester United will face Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday, while Southampton will take on Manchester City.

Manchester United v Leicester City

Michael Owen has predicted on Colossusbets.com that Manchester United will win against Leicester City this weekend.

The Red Devils will take on Leicester at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Former United striker Owen believes that Louis van Gaal’s side will pick up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 2-1 victory.

“Which brings us to Man Utd v Leicester, where the Foxes can seal the biggest, and most unlikely, footballing upset in recent history with a win at Old Trafford,” the former Newcastle United striker wrote on Colossusbets.com.

“However, they may have to wait a while longer to be crowned champions as I think Utd, who have really found their form in the last fortnight with four straight victories, could sneak this 2-1.

“Leicester’s final three games against Utd, Everton and Chelsea are no gimmes, though Tottenham’s draw against West Brom on Monday night gives them some much-needed breathing space. I will be more than happy to be proved wrong if Leicester win, though. What a story!”

Leicester are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 76 points from 35 matches.

Claudio Ranieri’s side are seven points clear of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur and will clinch the championship if they win at Old Trafford.

United, though, will fancy their chances and will be keen on picking up all three points from the encounter, as they are still in with a chance of finishing in the top four.

Southampton v Manchester City

Owen has backed Manchester City to win against Southampton away from home this weekend.

City will take on the Saints at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

“Southampton are finishing the season strongly as they bid for a Europa League slot but Man City, in action in the Champions League on Tuesday night, have to keep their mind on the job for a top-four slot in the league. Though after Tuesday’s 0-0 draw, I accept that they may rest players for the second leg next week,” the former England international striker wrote on Colossusbets.com.

“I see goals in this fixture. City won the reverse fixture 3-1 in November, and I go for a repeat of that score line.”

City are in good form at the moment, and it is very likely that they will win against Southampton.
