Andy Gray predicts West Brom v West Ham

The Hammers meet the Baggies at The Hawthorns this afternoon.

Andy Gray has told Paddy that he expects Dimitri Payet to inspire West Ham United to victory at West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.

The Hammers travel to The Hawthorns hoping to make it back-to-back Premier League wins, having beaten Watford 3-1 last time out for what was their first victory in five outings.

Tony Pulis's side, meanwhile, have very little to play for, but that didn't stop them from derailing Tottenham's title bid by holding Spurs to a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane on Monday, ending a run of three straight defeats in the process.

Fifteen points separate the Irons in sixth place from 13th-placed Albion, and Gray reckons the London outfit will edge out their West Midlands counterpart, naming the French magician as the man who could perhaps make the difference.

"There could be a hint of a draw about this one for me. I wouldn’t tip it, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was level. I’m expecting Payet to star in a Hammers win," he said via Paddy Power.

Payet has been a major factor behind West Ham's season as they sit in the final Europa League spot, but manager Slaven Bilic might need his prized asset to dust off the cobwebs and help them consolidate sixth position.

He has only scored or set up one goal in his last four appearances, and with Liverpool just one point behind them, Payet could do with inspiring the Hammers once more.
