West Ham's Angelo Ogbonna shares his feelings on a likely Leicester title win

Leicester City are closing in on the Premier League title.

West Ham United defender Angelo Ogbonna says he would be delighted if Leicester City were to win the Premier League title this season, Italian publication GianlucaDiMarzio report.

The Foxes are closing in on an extraordinary title triumph as they lead second placed Tottenham Hotspur by seven points with only three games of the top-flight campaign remaining.

A win against Manchester United this weekend will seal the deal for Claudio Ranieri’s men regardless of what Spurs do, and West Ham defender Ogbonna says he is rooting for the Foxes to finish the job.

“I think Leicester will win the title. They were simply the best team this year both physically and mentally, I would be delighted if they won,” the former Juventus man was quoted as saying by GianlucaDiMarzio.

Leicester only need to match Tottenham’s result this weekend to win the title, and should they fail to do so they will have two more chances with games against Everton (H) and Chelsea (A) following.

Aside from Leicester, the Premier League’s next biggest surprise package is arguably West Ham as in Slaven Bilic’s debut season in charge the East London club have impressed.

The Hammers currently occupy sixth position in the Premier League table, eight points off the top four.

With the club set to move in to the Olympic Stadium next season, the future at West Ham looks extremely bright and fans can be excited about the prospect of top quality players joining the club this summer.
