Report: Juventus keen on Everton's Romelu Lukaku

The Old Lady of Italian football could turn their attention toward Everton’s forward in the upcoming window.

Juventus will make a move for Everton's £30 million rated attacker Romelu Lukaku should they fail to sign Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Turin giants sealed their fifth consecutive Scudetto last weekend after overcoming a horrible early-season run of form and are now ready to make strides in the transfer market in order to reinforce their Serie A dominance.

Juve manager Massimiliano Allegri has made the Uruguay international Cavani his priority signing heading into the summer break. The northerners were eager to recruit the former Napoli striker last season but faced stumbling blocks in the form of the PSG hierarchy.

The club are reportedly keen to seal a move this time around but problems still remain. With this in mind, Juve are eager to look at other possible prospects, with Lukaku a proposed target, as reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Everton front man has enjoyed an impressive run of form in front of goal in spite of the club’s woeful league position, netting 18 Premier League goals for the Toffees.

Due to Lukaku being aged just 23 years old, Juventus would be prepared to offer big money for the £30m rated forward, especially with Real Madrid’s lingering interest in first-team member Alvaro Morata.
