Giuseppe Bellusci reportedly walked off the Leeds United training ground last week.
The Yorkshire Evening Post suggested that Bellusci walked off the training ground last week, after learning that he wasn’t in the starting line-up to face Hull City.
Bellusci was not even named amongst the substitutes for Leeds’ match against Hull for disciplinary reasons.
However, Evans insists that the defender has trained well in the past week - and he could come back into this thinking for the Whites’ game against Charlton Athletic at the weekend.
“There’s no issue,” Evans insisted. “Last week we picked 18 players based on how they’ve trained. They’ll always be little situations at training grounds that upset people - they happen on every training ground, every week.
“But if I’m being honest Peppe has trained well again this week. His reaction has been positive.”
When asked how he had dealt with Bellusci, after his alleged actions, Evans responded: “We’ve not had a chat. I’m not a school teacher type - I don’t get people on the office.”
Bellusci has already been heavily criticised by Leeds fans this season, after a series of error prone displays.
The Italian has looked reliable in some matches, but his tendency to make costly and avoidable mistakes has frustrated.
If Leeds can win their match against Charlton tomorrow, they could move up to 10th in the Championship table.
