They face competition from AC Milan for his services.

Liverpool have entered the race for Ajax star Anwar El Ghazi, according to a report from Gianluca di Marzio.

The Reds are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window as Jurgen Klopp looks to mould his squad to better suit his needs.

They are likely scouting far and wide to assess their options, and 20-years-old El Ghazi is one of those they have looked at.

They are keen on him as well and have already opened negotiations with the player, although they are yet to make a concrete offer to Ajax for his services just yet.

The Anfield club are not the only club interested in his services though, as Italian giants AC Milan have also been scouting him for some time.

However, according to Gianluca di Marzio’s report, the player is fascinated by the Premier League and has told his agent he would prefer a move to England if given the choice.

It is no surprise to find Liverpool are looking at wide options ahead of next season given the lack of players in that role currently in the squad.

Similarly El Ghazi’s young age also makes him a typical Klopp signing, with the German having often preferred to sign young players to develop over his career.
