Many pundits are suggesting that West Ham are no longer in the hunt for the Premier League’s top four – but the players will surely not be thinking that.
They take on West Brom this weekend with the top four still in sight after a fantastic season.
Much of their good form this season has been driven by the performances of Dimitri Payet.
The Frenchman has been a revelation since arriving from Marseille in the summer and he was hard in training yesterday with the rest of the group, as these photos show.
Payet was being his usual showboating self – putting on a Rabona display for the cameras.
However, he looked less graceful as his team-mate Mark Noble had to help him get his boots on!
There was also an interesting participant in the training session. 23-year-old Swiss goalkeeper Raphael Spiegel was involved in the session, as he looks to force his way into the reckoning at the club.
The 6ft 5ins tall stopper is under contract at West Ham until 2018 so is clearly a part of their future plans and is fighting with Darren Randolph and Sam Howes to take Adrian’s number one spot.
Spiegel, who joined West Ham in 2012 from Grasshoppers, is yet to make his debut for the club.
