The Reds will take on Swansea away from home at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Former Liverpool striker Owen believes that Jurgen Klopp’s side will pick up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 2-0 victory.
“Liverpool were in Europa League action in Spain on Thursday night but they went into that match against Villarreal unbeaten in their last seven, and I take them to win 2-0 at Swansea,” the former Newcastle United striker wrote on Colossusbets.com.
“Swansea’s last two games – a 3-0 loss at Newcastle was trumped by a 4-0 defeat at Leicester – don’t give you much cause for optimism for the manner in which they are viewing their end to the season.”
Liverpool will head into the game against Swansea City on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Villarreal in Spain in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final tie.
The Reds, though, are in good form, and they will be keen on returning to winning ways in the Premier League this weekend.
Swansea have nothing to play for between now and the end of the season, and there is a very good chance that they will lose on Sunday afternoon.
However, given that the match is at the Liberty Stadium, the Swansea players will be determined to put on a show for the home fans.
