Aston Villa fans have been left seething by the apparent lack of respect that Charles N’Zogbia’s has shown to Shaun Teale on social media site Twitter.
Former Villa player Teale posted a message criticising N’Zogbia yesterday, but the French winger fired back.
“Who have you impressed? #IDontEvenKnowUrName,” N’Zogbia tweeted in response to Teale’s initial remarks.
Stan Collymore has already expressed his outrage of N’Zogbia’s supposed lack of respect, and Villa fans are equally fuming about the 29-year-old.
Get N'Zogbia out of our club now. Waste of space and not one single care for the Villa.— HolteEndersInTheSky (@HEITS01) April 29, 2016
Charles Nzogbia highlights everything that is wrong with the modern day football player. Total arrogance about money not his career— Tony Ellis (@yorkybrum73) April 29, 2016
Charles N'Zogbia doing an absolute number on villa fans with his comments about Shaun Teale.— Andy (@Tebroc1991) April 29, 2016
Sad that N'zogbia can be so out of touch. Epitomises some footballers today. If he had the heart of @ShaunTeale, he'd have played more.— Stephen Lewis (@SteLewis84) April 29, 2016
N'zogbia, Lescott and Agbonlahor seem like bad energy in the dressing room. I would love to see them all released before the new season— AVFC Religion (@AVFC_Religion) April 29, 2016
Teale made 147 appearances for Villa in a four year stay at the club between 1991 and 1995.
N’Zogbia is the latest in a long-list of Villa players to have had their attitude called into question this season.
Leandro Bacuna, Joleon Lescott and Gabriel Agbonlahor have all been heavily criticised at different stages throughout what has been an awful campaign for the Midlands side.
N’Zogbia’s contract at Villa is due to expire in the summer, and it seems unlikely that he will be offered a new deal.
